Classic retro looks are everywhere over the audio equipment world today, and the goal is to provide Numark with its PT01 Touring Record Player for less than $100 at an acceptable cost level! ModelThe PT01 Touring is certainly a looker with a sleek, lightweight suitcase style. The dark plastic case appears from a distance like the textured antique leather case. We have double speaker grills on the front with a handle and lock between them. Once the turntable is raised, the bulk of our controls and ports are positioned on the right side of the platter, with the tonearm right on the left. Everything is very similar together, so that everything is as small and lig The final style, with very small branding, retains the large emblem inside the case deck in black except the silver on the tongue and the key. The turntable weights at 5.9lbs light and is definitely built for journeying, but note that the records must be available. CharacteristicsIt is as practical as a disposable turntable, and includes a plurality of ports and a USB input, an aux in, headphone out and RCA outputs all over. Numark has also included a helpful download link to the conversion program EZ Vinyl / Tape that lets you save your classical MP3 albums as downloads. The built-in speakers will not blow your mind, but at this price they are a very nice feature. After all, the PT01 Touring is a portable swivel with a special emphasis on 'portable' and its reloadable battery which is replayed for 4 hours, one of the most appealing features. The USB port (including a USB cable) is used to charge the battery, but the downside is that the turntable is just discharged, so no power is provided. PerformanceYou have to restrict your standards even in this price point to a turntable full of features like this. The level of sound does not shock, nor does the building efficiency earn awards. The whole plastic construction can be built in terms of travel and portability, however, it probably will not stand the test of time. There are also two speeds – RPM 33 and 45 – that's good for most users, but the straight tonearm is non-adjustable and the potters don't exude quality. The built-in speakers are good, but I would consider plugging it into any external speakers logically, it would probably stay indoors. Style and esthetic have been put in front of the product and the music, maybe that's good for the casual hearer, but there are several more choices out there at this price point, when you're searching for what to do your favorite songs What do we like
VerdictsThe PT01 Touring is a budgetary turntable full of characteristics and cool, but retro style. Yet you've got it here at a really good price if the good looks and portability are what you've been after.
